Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Minister may,
from time to time, hold such inquiries or investigations as he may deem
necessary in relation to any matter concerning the public hospitals or any
public hospital, or the administration of this Act in relation to public
hospitals, and may appoint one or more persons to conduct such inquiries or
investigations as he may deem fit.
(2) When an inquiry is
being held the Minister or any such person shall have free access to all
books, plans, maps, documents, and other things belonging to any board, and
shall have in relation to witnesses and their examination, and the production
of documents, the powers conferred upon a Royal Commission or the chairman
thereof by the Royal Commissions Act 1968 , and may enter and inspect
any building, premises, or place, the entry or inspection whereof appears to
be requisite for the purpose of such inquiry.
