Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Interpretation
Act 1918 is repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding
subsection (1), section 11 of the Interpretation Act 1918 shall
continue to apply to Acts passed before the commencement of this Act 2 .
(3) The enactment of a
provision of this Act that is expressed to apply to Acts or subsidiary
legislation passed or made after the commencement of this Act shall not be
presumed to have amended the law so as to affect the construction of any Act
or subsidiary legislation passed or made before such enactment.
(4) Notwithstanding
subsection (1), section 47(2) of the Interpretation Act 1918
and the Second Schedule to that Act shall continue to apply to any Act to
which that section applied immediately before the commencement of this
Act 5 .
