Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A person must not,
without reasonable excuse, hinder or resist or threaten —
(a) the
Inspector or a person assisting the Inspector in the performance or attempted
performance of a function of the Inspector; or
(b) a
person authorised by the Inspector for the purposes of
section 28(1), 29(1) or 30(1), or a person assisting such an
authorised person, in the performance or attempted performance of a function
of the person under the respective provision.
(2) A person must not
make a statement that the person knows to be false or misleading
to —
(a) the
Inspector or a person assisting the Inspector in the performance or attempted
performance of a function of the Inspector; or
(b) a
person authorised by the Inspector for the purposes of
section 28(1), 29(1) or 30(1), or a person assisting such an
authorised person, in the performance or attempted performance of a function
of the person under the respective provision.
(3) A person must not
deliberately mislead or attempt to mislead —
(a) the
Inspector or a person assisting the Inspector in the performance or attempted
performance of a function of the Inspector; or
(b) a
person authorised by the Inspector for the purposes of
section 28(1), 29(1) or 30(1), or a person assisting such an
authorised person, in the performance or attempted performance of a function
of the person under the respective provision.
Penalty applicable to
subsections (1), (2) and (3): $6 000 and imprisonment for
12 months.
