Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) In this
section —
special event notice means a notice under
subsection (2);
specified means specified in a special event
notice.
(2) The Minister may,
by notice published in the Gazette , declare that, for the purposes of this
Act, a specified event to be held in the State is a special event.
(3) Subject to
subsection (4), a special event notice may declare that, for the purposes
of the special event, specified provisions of this Act have a specified
modified operation —
(a)
during a specified period; and
(b) in
relation to a specified area of the State or the whole of the State.
(4) A special event
notice may make a declaration under subsection (3) only in relation to
prescribed provisions of this Act.
(5) For the purposes
of the special event, provisions of this Act that are the subject of a
declaration under subsection (3) have effect in accordance with any
specified modified operation.
(6) The Minister may,
by notice published in the Gazette , vary or revoke a special event notice.
