Western Australian Consolidated Acts A local government may
decide* that instead of reimbursing council members under section 5.98(2)
for all of a particular type of expense it will instead pay all council
members —
(a) the
prescribed minimum annual allowance for that type of expense; or
(b)
where the local government has set an allowance within the prescribed range
for annual allowances for that type of expense, an allowance of that amount,
and only reimburse the
member for expenses of that type in excess of the amount of the allowance.
