Section 56A(1) is amended in paragraph (b) of the definition of
“prosecuting officer” by deleting “a legal practitioner (as
defined in the Legal Practice Act 2003 );” and inserting
instead —
“
an Australian legal practitioner within the meaning of
that term in the Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3;
”.
(3)
Section 56B(2)(h) is amended by deleting “a legal practitioner (as
defined in the Legal Practice Act 2003 )” and inserting
instead —
“
an Australian legal practitioner (within the meaning of
that term in the Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3)
”.
(4)
Section 56C(2)(g) is amended by deleting “a legal practitioner (as
defined in the Legal Practice Act 2003 )” and inserting
instead —
“
an Australian legal practitioner (within the meaning of
that term in the Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3)
”.
(5) The Second
Schedule Part I item 1(f) is deleted and the following paragraph is
inserted instead —
“
(f) an Australian lawyer (within the meaning of that term
in the Legal Profession Act 2008 section 3).
”.
