Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Chief
Psychiatrist may, by order published in the Gazette —
(a)
designate any medical practitioner as an authorised medical practitioner for
the purposes of section 77; and
(b)
revoke a person’s designation as an authorised medical practitioner.
(2) The Chief
Psychiatrist is not to designate a medical practitioner under
subsection (1) unless he or she is satisfied that the practitioner has
the skills and experience necessary for the effective performance of the
functions of an authorised medical practitioner under section 77.
