Act include —
(a) to
ensure that persons having a mental illness receive the best care and
treatment with the least restriction of their freedom and the least
interference with their rights and dignity; and
(b) to
ensure the proper protection of patients as well as the public; and
(c) to
minimize the adverse effects of mental illness on family life.
