Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A police officer
who apprehends a person under section 195 may, instead of dealing with
the person under that section, take action under subsection (2) if he or
she considers that it would be —
(a) in
accordance with an agreement; and
(b)
appropriate in the circumstances,
to do so.
(2) The police officer
may take the person to be dealt with, in accordance with the agreement, under
the laws of another State or a Territory of the Commonwealth relating to
mental disorder.
