Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The regulations
may prescribe any kind of work that is done on or to motor vehicles to be
repair work for the purposes of this Act, including, but not limited
to —
(a)
examining motor vehicles;
(b)
diagnosing and detecting faults in motor vehicles;
(c)
adjusting, servicing and maintaining motor vehicles;
(d)
overhauling motor vehicles;
(e)
replacing components of motor vehicles;
(f)
modifying and altering motor vehicles; and
(g)
painting or treating the surfaces of motor vehicles.
(2) The regulations
may prescribe any kind of work that is done on or to motor vehicles not to be
repair work for the purposes of this Act.
(3) For the purposes
of Part 2, the regulations may classify repair work.
(4) For the purposes
of Part 3, the regulations may classify repair work.
(5) The classification
of repair work for the purposes of Part 2 need not be the same as the
classification of repair work for the purposes of Part 3.
