Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A licence or
permit under this Act remains in force after it is first issued, unless sooner
cancelled, suspended or revoked, for a period ending on 30 June
following —
(a) the
day of its issue; or
(b) the
expiration of 2 years after the day of its issue,
as elected by the
applicant.
(2) The holder of a
licence or permit under this Act may, at least one month before it expires,
apply to the CEO for the renewal of the licence or permit for a period of one
year or 3 years.
(3) Subject to this
Act, the CEO may renew a licence or permit.
(4) The renewal takes
effect from 1 July in the year to which it relates and unless sooner
cancelled, suspended or revoked, continues in force —
(a) if
the licence or permit is renewed for a period of 1 year, until 30 June
following that date; or
(b) if
the licence or permit is renewed for a period of 3 years, until
30 June following the expiration of 2 years from that date.
