5 The Pearling Amendment Act 1994 s. 6 reads as follows:


6. Savings

(1) Nothing in this Act affects the continued operation of —

(a) any arrangement in force immediately before the commencement of this Act;

(b) anything done under an arrangement before the commencement of the Act; or

(c) anything done by a Joint Authority before the commencement of this Act.

(2) In this section, “arrangement” and “Joint Authority” have the same respective meanings as in Part IIA of the Fisheries Act 1905 (as in force immediately before the commencement of the Fisheries Amendment Act 1994).

6 The State Administrative Tribunal (Conferral of Jurisdiction) Amendment and Repeal Act 2004 Pt. 5, the State Administrative Tribunal Act 2004 s. 167 and 169, and the State Administrative Tribunal Regulations 2004 r. 28 and 42 deal with certain transitional issues some of which may be relevant for this Act.

7 The State Administrative Tribunal Regulations 2004 r. 60 reads as follows:


60. Pearling Act 1990

(1) In this regulation —

commencement day means the day on which the State Administrative Tribunal (Conferral of Jurisdiction) Amendment and Repeal Act 2004 Part 2 Division 95 comes into operation.

(2) If a notice has been published in the Gazette under the Pearling Act 1990 section 23(8) in the period of 14 days before the commencement day, on or after the commencement day the notice is to be taken to refer to a right of review set out in section 33 of the Pearling Act 1990.

(3) If a notice has been served under the Pearling Act 1990 section 33(2) in the period of 14 days before the commencement day, on or after the commencement day the notice is to be taken to refer to a right of review set out in section 33 of the Pearling Act 1990.
