Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) A ranger, who
finds a person committing an offence to which this section applies or who on
reasonable grounds suspects that such an offence has been committed or is
about to be committed by a person may —
(a)
require the person to give him the person’s name and address; and
(b)
enter any premises and stop, detain, and search any vessel or vehicle if a
person in the premises or in or on the vessel or vehicle is, or is suspected
by him on reasonable grounds of being, the offender.
(2) A person shall,
when required to do so under subsection (1)(a), give his full and correct
name and address.
(3) If a person does
not under subsection (2) give his full and correct name and address to a
ranger —
(a) he
obstructs the ranger in the performance of his functions and section 32
applies accordingly; and
(b) the
ranger may detain the person until he can be delivered to a police officer to
be dealt with according to law.
(4) This section
applies to any offence against a regulation made under section 48 or
against section 32.
