Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Commissioner
has the following functions for the purposes of this Act —
(a) to
investigate and conduct research into matters relating to or affecting
retirement villages;
(b) to
publish reports and disseminate information on matters relating to retirement
villages;
(c) to
give advice to consumers on the provisions of this Act;
(d) to
investigate and attempt to resolve complaints by residents and administering
bodies of retirement villages and to take action by negotiation, prosecution
of any offence or otherwise;
(e) to
make reports to the Minister on matters referred to the Commissioner by the
Minister and matters of importance investigated by the Commissioner, whether
referred to the Commissioner by the Minister or not.
