Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) An authorised
person may —
(a) call
at any premises used as a dwelling; and
(b)
having produced the certificate provided to the authorised person under
section 14, require any person on the premises appearing to be over the
age of 18 to answer any relevant question, whether orally or in writing.
(2) A question is
relevant only if it is reasonably connected with finding out whether there is
living at the premises —
(a) any
child of compulsory school age who is not enrolled in an educational
programme; or
(b) any
child in respect of whom notice has been given under section 11D or 11H
and who is not complying with section 11I, as the case may be.
(3) A person to whom a
requirement under subsection (1)(b) is directed must
not —
(a) fail
to comply with the requirement; or
(b) in
purported compliance give any information that is false or misleading.
Penalty: $500.
