STATE SUPERANNUATION REGULATIONS 2001 - SECT 79

79 .         Transfer of benefit to another superannuation fund

        (1)         A West State Super Member who is entitled to —

            (a)         payment of a benefit; or

            (b)         a preserved WSS withdrawal benefit,

                may request the Board to transfer the benefit to another scheme or to another superannuation fund and the Board is to comply with that request.

        (2)         If a request under subregulation (1) relates to a preserved WSS withdrawal benefit, the amount to be transferred is the amount of the benefit and earnings under regulation 78, discounted to the extent that the Board, on the advice of an actuary, considers appropriate.

        (3)         The Board may transfer a West State Super Member’s benefit to an eligible rollover fund if that fund is permitted by the SIS Act to accept the benefit, whether or not the Member has requested the transfer.
