Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Senate, in the
name and on behalf of the University, may, from time to time, make, alter, and
repeal regulations for the purpose of carrying out this Act, or any amendment
thereof, or any Statute made by the governing body of the University, or for
the purpose of securing and enforcing the management, good government, and
discipline of the University; and every such regulation shall be binding upon
all deans, professors, lecturers, examiners, and all other officers and
servants of the University, and also on all students attending the University.
(2) The provisions of
section 36 of the Interpretation Act 1918 2 , do not apply to a
regulation made by the Senate under subsection (1), and shall be deemed
never so to have applied, and any such regulation shall take effect from the
date of its promulgation in the University or from such later date as may be
therein specified.
