Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Subject to this
Act and the Statutes the Senate may cause instruction to be given to
students, whether matriculated or not, and may grant degrees, diplomas, and
certificates, in any branch of knowledge in which degrees, diplomas, and
certificates are granted in the United Kingdom, and may also confer honorary
degrees or other distinctions on approved persons.
(2) All degrees and
other distinctions shall be conferred and held subject to any provisions which
may be made in reference thereto by the Statutes.
