Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) The Regulator must
issue an identity card to each WELS inspector.
(2) The identity card
must —
(a) be
in the form prescribed by the regulations made under the Commonwealth Act; and
(b)
contain a recent photograph of the WELS inspector.
(3) A person commits
an offence if —
(a) the
person has been issued with an identity card;
(b) the
person ceases to be a WELS inspector; and
(c) the
person does not return the identity card to the Regulator as soon as
practicable.
Penalty: a fine of one penalty unit.
(4) A WELS inspector
must carry his or her identity card at all times when exercising powers or
performing functions as a WELS inspector.
(5) A WELS inspector
is not entitled to exercise any powers under this Part in relation to premises
if —
(a) the
occupier of the premises has required the WELS inspector to produce his or her
identity card for inspection by the occupier; and
(b) the
WELS inspector fails to comply with the requirement.

differs from the Commonwealth Act section 46.
