(1) A court hearing a
charge under this Act may order that a post mortem be carried out on an animal
by a veterinarian specified in the order.
(2) If an order is
made under subsection (1) —
(a) the
results of the post mortem are to be given to the court, the prosecutor and
the alleged offender; and
(b) the
cost of the post mortem is a cost in respect of which an order may be made
under section 58.
