Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) A member may
resign from office by notice in writing delivered to the
Director‑General.
(2) The
Director‑General may remove a member from office —
(a)
for —
(i)
mental or physical inability to perform satisfactorily
the duties of office;
(ii)
neglect of duty; or
(iii)
misconduct;
(b) if
the member is persistently absent without leave or reasonable excuse from
committee meetings of which the member has had notice;
(c) if
the member ceases to hold the office or qualifications by virtue of which the
member was appointed to the committee; or
(d) if
extraordinary circumstances render inappropriate the continuation of the
person’s membership of the committee.
(3) An extraordinary
vacancy occurs if a member dies, resigns from or is removed from office or no
longer holds the position or office by virtue of which he or she had become a
member.
(4) If an
extraordinary vacancy occurs, the Director‑General is to appoint, in
accordance with section 14 of the Act, another person to be a member for
the residue of the former member’s term.
