Western Australian Consolidated Regulations Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) The State mining
engineer may, in writing, exempt a person or mine from compliance with a
requirement of these regulations if the State mining engineer is satisfied
that compliance with the requirement would be unnecessary or impracticable.
(2) An exemption may
be granted subject to such conditions as the State mining engineer thinks fit
and specifies in the exemption.
(3) A person having
the benefit of the exemption must not contravene a condition of the exemption.
Penalty: See regulation 17.1.
(4) The State mining
engineer may at any time amend or revoke an exemption granted under this
regulation and, if the State mining engineer does so, the State mining
engineer must provide written reasons for that amendment or revocation.
