NAVIGABLE WATERS REGULATIONS 1958 - REG 3

3 .         Responsibility of master and owner

        (1)         Where by these regulations any act is required or forbidden to be done in relation to any vessel, it is the duty of the master and owner of the vessel to do the act or to refrain from doing the act as the case may be except where otherwise expressly provided by these regulations.

        (2)         For the purposes of this regulation, the provisions of regulations 51C and 52B to 52D, inclusive apply to every vessel being a vessel within the meaning of the Acts or to every owner or person in charge of any such vessel, as the case may be.
