Western Australian Consolidated Regulations Without limiting
regulation 4.11, if the design of existing plant at a workplace is
altered then a person who, at the workplace is an employer, the main
contractor, a self‑employed person, a person having control of
the workplace or a person having control of access to the workplace must
ensure that —
(a) the
design alteration is assessed for any risk of injury or harm occurring as
if it were an original design; and
(b) the
alteration to the plant is done by a competent person; and
(c)
before the plant is returned to service, it is inspected and tested by a
competent person having regard to the design specifications for the design
alteration.
Penalty: the regulation 1.16 penalty.
