Western Australian Consolidated Regulations A person who, at a
workplace is an employer, the main contractor, a self‑employed person, a
person having control of the workplace or a person having control of access to
the workplace must ensure that —
(a) a
laser or laser product is not used at a workplace unless it has been
classified and labelled in accordance with AS/NZS 2211; and
(b)
Class 3B or Class 4 lasers or laser products (as defined in AS/NZS 2211) are
not used for construction work; and
(c) the
use of lasers and laser products (other than Class 3B or Class 4
lasers or laser products) in construction work is in accordance with
AS 2397; and
(d) the
use of lasers and laser products at a workplace other than a construction site
is in accordance with AS/NZS 2211.
Penalty: the regulation 1.16 penalty.
