Western Australian Consolidated Regulations (1) In this
regulation —
standard wine package means a package
containing —
(a)
50 mL, 100 mL, 187 mL, 200 mL, 250 mL, 375 mL,
500 mL, 750 mL, 1 L or 1.5 L of wine; or
(b) 2 or
more whole litres of wine;
wine means a beverage —
(a)
produced by the complete or partial alcoholic fermentation of fresh grapes,
grape must or other products derived from fresh grapes; and
(b)
containing not less than 7% and not more than 24% of alcohol by volume.
(2) For the purposes
of regulation 76(2)(ba), the measurement marking on a standard wine
package must be made on the surface of the package, other than the base or the
top, in a way that enables all of the following information about the wine to
be seen in a single field of vision —
(a) the
statement of the measurement;
(b) the
country of origin;
(c) the
product name or product description;
(d) the
actual alcohol content by volume in percentage terms.
(3) For the purposes
of subregulation (2), information on a standard wine package can be seen
in a single field of vision if a person can see the information without having
to turn the package.
