Western Australian Consolidated Regulations In these regulations,
unless the contrary intention appears —
appropriate fee means a fee required to be paid
under section 10(2)(k) of the Act;
designated means designated by traffic signs under
regulation 11;
enclosure means any building, pool, pond, lake,
water feature, pound, yard or other means by which animals are enclosed or
housed or intended to be enclosed or housed;
entrance gate means a gate designated by the
Authority by a sign at the gate for general entry to a zoological park or for
entry to special events held in a zoological park;
motor vehicle has the same meaning as it has in
section 5(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1974 ;
park , in relation to a vehicle, means to permit
the vehicle, whether attended or not, to remain stationary, except for the
purpose of —
(a)
avoiding conflict with other traffic;
(b)
complying with the provisions of any law; or
(c)
immediately taking up or setting down persons or goods;
permission has a meaning affected by
regulation 4;
stand , in relation to a vehicle, means to stop
the vehicle and permit it to remain stationary, except for the purpose
of —
(a)
avoiding conflict with other traffic; or
(b)
complying with the provisions of any law;
traffic sign means a sign, marking, structure or
device for the purpose of —
(a)
restricting or regulating the use of roads, tracks or paths in a zoological
park; or
(b)
prohibiting, restricting or regulating the use, standing or parking of
vehicles in a zoological park;
use , in relation to a vehicle, includes driving a
vehicle and riding or pushing a bicycle.
