Section 155(3) is amended as follows:
(a) in
paragraph (a) by inserting after “Registrar” in the first
place it appears —
“ or a registrar directed under subsection (4)
”;
(b) in
paragraph (b) by inserting after “Appeal
Registrar” —
“ or a registrar directed under subsection (4)
”.
(2) After
section 155(3) the following subsection is inserted —
“
(4) If the Chief Justice and the President agree that the
Court of Appeal Registrar’s workload justifies doing so, the Chief
Justice may direct a registrar to temporarily assist the Court of Appeal
Registrar to perform the functions of that office.
