AUDITOR GENERAL ACT 2006 (NO. 75 OF 2006) - SECT 3

3 .         Purpose

                The purposes of this Act are —

            (a)         to ensure that the State has an Auditor General with the necessary functions, immunities and independence; and

            (b)         to provide for the independent external audit of the public sector and related entities.
