Western Australian Numbered Acts (1) The Commission is
to have 7 commissioners appointed by the Governor on the nomination of the
Minister as having such expertise in commercial activities, the plantation
timber industry or labour relations as is relevant to the functions of the
Commission.
(2) The Governor is to
appoint 2 of the commissioners to be the chairman of the Commission and the
deputy chairman of the Commission respectively.
(3) A person is
ineligible to be appointed or hold office as a commissioner if the person
is —
(a) the
General Manager or a staff member;
(b) a
member of the Conservation Commission or a member of its staff;
(c) the
Executive Director or an employee of the Department;
(d) a
person who has a material personal interest in a production contract or in a
company or business that is a party to a production contract.
(4) The commissioners
are the governing body of the Commission.
(5) The commissioners,
in the name of the Commission, are to perform the functions, determine the
policies and control the affairs of the Commission.
