Western Australian Numbered Acts A person engages in
legal practice if the person directly or indirectly —
(a)
whether in the name of that person or that of any other person —
(i)
sues out any writ or process;
(ii)
commences, carries on, solicits, defends, or appears, in
any action, suit, or other proceedings in any court of civil or criminal
jurisdiction in this State; or
(iii)
acts as a barrister or solicitor of the Supreme Court in
any cause, matter or suit, information or complaint, civil or criminal, or
under any commission for the examination in this State of witnesses, or
others, issued by any court in or out of this State;
(b)
performs or carries out or is engaged in any work in connection with the
administration of law; or
(c)
draws or prepares any deed, instrument, or writing relating to or in any
manner dealing with or affecting —
(i)
real or personal estate or any interest in real or
personal estate; or
(ii)
any proceedings at law, civil or criminal, or in equity.
