Western Australian Numbered Acts In the course
of —
(a)
taking a person into custody under a preventative detention order; or
(b)
preventing the escape of a person who is being detained by a police officer
under a preventative detention order,
a police
officer —
(c) must
not use more force, or subject the person to greater indignity, than is
reasonably necessary in the circumstances; and
(d) must
not use force which causes death or grievous bodily harm unless that force is
used lawfully in self-defence or defence of another.
