Financial Management Amendment Bill 2012

A Bill for

An Act to amend the Financial Management Act 1996

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

1 Name of Act

This Act is the Financial Management Amendment Act 2012.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

Note The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

3 Legislation amended

This Act amends the Financial Management Act 1996.

4 Amendment of performance criteria

Section 19D (2)

substitute

(2) The performance criteria may be amended by—

(a) the responsible Minister for the directorate, territory authority or territory-owned corporation; and

(b) the Treasurer.

5 Section 19D (3)

omit

the responsible Minister may amend the performance criteria

substitute

the performance criteria may be amended

6 Section 19D (3) (g)

omit

the Minister is satisfied

substitute

the responsible Minister and the Treasurer are satisfied
