CHARITABLE FUNDRAISING ACT 1991 - SECT 18A
Renewal of authority
(1) An authority may be renewed on application to the Secretary made before or
within 3 months after the expiry of the authority.
(2) Subject to this
section, this Act applies to an application for the renewal of an authority in
the same way as it applies to an application for an authority.
(3) The
Secretary may refuse an application to renew an authority if the Secretary is
satisfied of either or both of the following-- (a) that the applicant has not
complied with the requirements of this Act or the regulations,
(b) that the
applicant has failed to comply with a condition of the authority that is to be
renewed.
(4) If an application to renew an authority is made within the
period of 3 months after the expiry of the authority, the original authority
is taken to have remained in force, and to remain in force, until the
determination of that application.
