Interpretation
32G Interpretation
(1) In this Part--
"de facto spouse" , in relation to a person dying wholly or partly intestate,
means someone who was a partner in a de facto relationship with the person.
Note--: "De facto relationship" is defined in section 21C of the
Interpretation Act 1987 .
(2) Except where the contrary intention appears, a
reference in this Part to the spouse of an intestate includes a reference to a
person who, at the time of death of the intestate, was the de facto spouse of
the intestate.
