Appointment conditions and limit on powers
101 Appointment conditions and limit on powers
(1) An authorised officer holds office on any conditions stated in— (a) the
officer’s instrument of appointment; or
(b) a signed notice given to the
officer; or
(c) a regulation.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the
instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the officer or a
regulation may— (a) limit the officer’s functions or powers under this or
another Act; or Example for paragraph (a)— The instrument of appointment,
notice or regulation may limit the officer’s functions or powers to stated
functions or powers in relation to a compulsory code requirement or the
scientific use code.
(b) require the officer to give the chief executive
stated information or a report about the performance of the officer’s
functions or the exercise of the officer’s powers.
(3) In this section—
"signed notice" means a notice signed by the chief executive.
