Tabling and inspection of documents adopted in codes of practice
14 Tabling and inspection of documents adopted in codes of practice
(1) This section applies if— (a) a regulation that makes a code of practice
adopts, applies or incorporates the whole or a stated part of another document
(the
"adopted provisions" ); and
(b) the adopted provisions are not part of, or
attached to, the regulation.
(2) The Minister must, within 14 sitting days
after the regulation is notified, table a copy of the adopted provisions in
the Legislative Assembly.
(3) If the adopted provisions are amended, the
Minister must, within 14 sitting days after the amendment is made, table a
copy of the provisions as amended in the Legislative Assembly.
(4) The chief
executive must keep a copy of the adopted provisions, as in force from time to
time, open for inspection, free of charge, by members of the public during
office hours on business days at— (a) the department’s head office; and
(b) other places the chief executive considers appropriate.
(5) A failure to
comply with this section does not invalidate or otherwise affect the
regulation.
