(1) If the CE is
satisfied that a person who applies to be examined for the issue of a boat
operator's licence has experience, training or educational qualifications that
substantially comply with the requirements of these regulations as to
experience and the passing of examinations, the CE may, to the extent that
they think fit, accept that experience or training or those educational
qualifications as a substitute for compliance with those requirements.
(2) The acceptance of
experience, training or educational qualifications by the CE under
subregulation (1) may be subject to such conditions or additional
requirements as the CE thinks fit.
