78—Recognition of other qualification as equivalent of certificate of
competency
(1) The CE may, by
written notice, declare a qualification under the law of some other place to
be equivalent to a boat operator's licence.
(2) A declaration
under subregulation (1) may be conditional or unconditional.
(3) The CE may, for
the purposes of a declaration under subregulation (1), require the holder
of the qualification to meet such requirements as to—
(a) age;
and
(b)
eyesight and other medical standards; and
(c)
experience; and
(d) the
satisfactory completion of courses or passing of examinations,
as the CE thinks fit.
