ANIMAL CARE AND PROTECTION ACT 2001 - SECT 133
Failure to comply with stop signal
133 Failure to comply with stop signal
(1) A person in control of a vehicle to whom a stop signal has been given must
obey the stop signal unless the person has a reasonable excuse. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
(2) It is a reasonable excuse for the
person not to obey the signal if— (a) to immediately obey the signal would
have endangered the person or someone else; and
(b) the person obeys the
signal as soon as it is practicable to obey it.
